How Does Njest work?

Njest is an application built around an AI engine that automates the ingestion of invoices from suppliers.

As each supplier invoice is imported, Njest’s AI engine parses the document identifying the data elements that form the financial transactions for that marcoms entity and supplier combination.

Resulting from that process is a set of data fields that can be interrogated by the user, modified and/or added to if necessary, then exported for importation into the organisation’s back-end payables software.

The invoices, when received by the marcoms entity, are parsed by the Njest discovery process. That process identifies required data fields and matches them to the organisation’s masterfiles. The resultant financial transactions are created in the appropriate format for that entity’s finance system.

Suppliers who provide all the required data fields on their invoice are issued a certificate of conformity with a logo that they can optionally place on their invoice demonstrating that they have been Njest certified.

If, during the discovery process, key data is missing from the invoice the invoice is held in suspense with the discovered fields in view for editing by the user. Once a minimum set of data fields are satisfied the invoice transactions are made available for export in the format required by the organisation’s back-end software.

The supplier is enticed to update their invoice format to include the required data to provide a better service to their clients and to expedite settlement of the account.

As the Njest community of marcoms organisations and their suppliers grows, suppliers will see the benefit of being Njest certified as they chase new business.

Marcoms organisations will obviously take into account Njest certification when considering a potential supplier.
